speckled trouts for days!!

The speckled trout fishing this week has been pretty outstanding.  Not only has it been speckled trouts but puppy drum, grey trout, bluefish and flounders to add in there.  Yesterday was the largest school of trout I have ever seen, actually could mark them on the bottom machine.  After today it looks like the weather is gonna get very breezy for several days, but hopefully after the blow we'll be able to get right back out there.  Offshore the gags have been biting really well and further out on the break a good report of wahoos, sailfish and scattered blackfin tuna was captured yesterday.  Don't give up on fishing since its getting cooler, this will be some of the better of the year over the next several weeks to come.  ..

October Groupers

Chuck Bush has been fishing with me for I believe going on 6 years now and still shows up pumped to go, even more than the last time.  The guys are dead set on bottom fishing, they love the stand-off pull of a nice gag grouper and I can't blame them.  Yesterday, we had a nice steady NE wind but..... there was a extra strong SW current running straight into the wind making the anchoring and fishing process a bit more difficult than it needed to be.  None the less, the guys stuck it out and we fished and moved all day, finally putting together a respectable catch consisting of gag groupers, amber jacks, grunts, black sea bass, trigger fish and a few others.  There's a pretty stout weather front coming today and tomorrow, keeping us tied to.  Fingers crossed to be back after them on Friday and Saturday.  I've still got plenty of availability for October and November fishing charters.    ..

inshore Speckled trouts !

When the wind keeps us inshore, we've been doing pretty well on the speckled trout.  All summer and now still going strong, the speckled trout fishing has been pretty stellar.  On the days when groups have had offshore trips booked and the winds been to much, I've still got the Parker to bail out the trip.  The next 6 weeks are absolute prime dates for speckled and grey trout fishing.  The bluefish and Spanish Mackerel are still being caught in great numbers. As well has some really good numbers of false albacore.  Don't let the weather detour you from a fishing trip, we've got a number of different options to catch fish. ..
