Anyone that ever asks about when's the best time to go fishing off the NC coast, the two months that always come up are May and October. Well, October's here and its not looking like it will disappoint. The last several groups that I've had out on bottom fishing trips have put together some fantastic catches made up of gag groupers, vermillion snappers, grunts, black sea bass, triggerfish and more. The majority of our fishing lately has been in the 90-120 ft range. I've been fishing a little deeper than in the past due to the tropical swells, that have stirred the bottom water up some. It makes for a little longer ride, but the variety and quality of fish we've been catching definitely makes up for it. This is without a doubt the best time to come fishing, whether it inshore or offshore, Give me a call for booking your fall fishing trip.
