The hustle and bustle around Morehead City and Atlantic Beach has begun to slow a little with summer starting to wind down, but fishing will keep getting better and better. This week we were very fortunate to have great weather and fishing to pair with it. The bottom fishing has remained strong with charters catching vermillion snappers, triggerfish, Black Sea bass, grunts, groupers, jacks and more. I’ve been fishing a little further offshore this year, but hoping Gag groupers start biting a little better inshore as they normally do come September and October.
